For my @EsquireUK debut, I unpacked Nollywood’s complicated history with queerness, highlighting some old Nollywood movies with slightly good portrayals of queer characters and spoke with @yungnollywood on their work relcaiming harmful queer narratives. Also spotlighted queer filmmakers like @Uyaiedu, @pamelaadie and producers of refreshing Nigerian queer films @TIERsNigeria who are shaping the future of queerness in Nollywood. With further insight from @DikaOfoma.
